Well after Blogger decided to investigate our blog for potential spamming, therefore blocking our access, we are back online. Taking advantage of our proximity to my parents, Mommy and Daddy came down for easter, and my younger sister Mary came up from ECU. My parents brought us all easter baskets, although I still argue that Mary's should have been docked gifts for every 15 minutes she was late... But that must be the older sister in me! We had a great afternoon filled with ham and asparagus and dinner rolls. Mary brought her boxer, Baci, so Slider really enjoyed having a playmate.
Dave classed-up with his first day of school on Monday. There were lectures and computer based training (CBT) for the week. He had his first sim on Wednesday and a second on Thursday. His week was filled with 6am mornings and 5pm returns. Saturday was a welcome opportunity to sleep in. I had a a job interview on Wednesday at Abbey Animal Hospital, just 3 miles from where we live! It would be for reception and tech assistance: answering phones, scheduling appointments, restraining dogs during anesthesia, microscope work with in-house bloodwork... Sounds like fun, and more interesting than "Admin Asst." I feel like the interview went well and should hear back in the middle of this week.
Dave filed our taxes last week and the government was pretty snappy about getting our money to us. As a result we bought Rockband - a "video game" for up to 4 players, where you create your character, band name, and can have vocals, bass guitar, lead guitar and drums -- a good teamwork exercise!
Dave and i are making plans to travel out to Washington state for Clif and Meg's wedding at the end of May, and for me to go to Phi Mu National Convention in June. Let's hope so!

Scott Here! The job possibility sounds nifty! Here's another thought; you should check into DODEA; (Department of Defense Educational Activity). They run all DODDS (Dept. of Defense Dependent Schools) around the world. They by and large pay better than most schools around (for teachers, counselors and administrators) great benefits and would allow someone like you who might want to teach to be able to follow Dave and have a career too. One of the best benefits is the high quality of students and a fairly homogenous group of kids. Parents are mostly military, understand discipline and therefore kids tend to be the same way. Check it out and meanwhile hope you get the vet job! Get your rabies shots up to date!!
